Step 5 After I removed both covers. BE CAREFULL THE TOP COVER WITH THE PS2 LOGO HAS A LITTLE FLAT CABLE FOR THE ON/OFF & RESET SWITCH. I turned the PS2 around (normal horizontal position) This showed that the PS2 is divided in two parts; the DVD drive and the electronics. The DVD drive seemed to be covered by a plastic protection hull. |

Step 8 Just above the spindle of the DVD player you'll find a little glasslike lens this is the laserlens I cleaned it carefully using a cottonswab and lenscleanerfluid (alcohol). After you have finished this follow the steps mentioned above to reassemble the PS2. I got a message from a guy called "Cypress Hill" he tried to clean his PS2 but when reassembling the machine the topcover wouldn't fit I suggested that it would be a problem with the DVD coverplate, I didn't get a reaction yet but I'll update this asap. |
